So let me just tell you a little bit about this baby, so that you can appreciate how far we have come. This baby was born at 34 weeks, and he weighed 2,100 grams. Now to us, that's a giant, I mean this kid's going to go home in a week. But, he was a white male, of course. Back in those days, they treated the baby with hyperbaric oxygen because they knew that he was cyanotic, and that was all the pediatricians knew how to do. He unfortunately died at 39 hours of life, and he is buried in Arlington next to his father.
